A hieroglyphic editor

A small editor built on @jsesh/core and @jsesh/elements: the text is a JSesh model (HieroglyphicText), changed by the editor and laid out again after each change. The layout's view tree tells where each quadrat is, for the cursor, the selection and the mouse. Click in the frame, and type as in JSesh.

Keys

Sign codes (A1, nfr, p...) are completed by a separator: -, Space or Enter puts the sign in a new quadrat; :, * and & group it with the next one. So p:tSpace stacks p over t.
!: new line. Backspace, Delete: erase. Esc: forget the code.
Arrows, Home, End move the cursor; with Shift, or a shift-click, they select.
Ctrl/⌘ + Z: undo; with Shift: redo. Ctrl/⌘ + A: select all.
